Moving Day Tips

To help your moving day go as smoothly as possible, Quality Services has put together the following list of tips.  These basic guidelines will help ensure an easy move for everyone involved and are designed to help cut down on confusion on the day of the move, saving you time, energy, and money.

Packing:  If you pack your own belongings, please be sure to have all packing completed before the moving crew arrives. All boxes must have their tops closed and be securely taped on all sides. Labeling boxes will help ensure that they are placed correctly at your new residence. Please do not pack clothing or linens and bedding in plastic garbage bags. For the protection of your belongings, loose items will not be moved. If it can fit in a box, it should be packed in a box.

Location Conditions:  The physical conditions such as flights of stairs, long walks, elevators and truck access, at your current and new homes have been factored into your move price. Clients are responsible for ensuring exclusive and uninterrupted use of elevators, loading docks, and reserved parking on the day of the move. Please make sure these arrangements are made prior to the arrival of the moving crew. Any changes in conditions at either pick-up or drop-off locations must be reported to your sales associate prior to your move.

Inventory: The estimate that was given was based on the inventory that was provided by you. Changes to this inventory can result in changes to your total move price. You may add or remove items from your inventory at any time, but please keep in mind it will alter your price. Please inform your sales consultant of any changes to your inventory.
